Rates, Coverage, and Insurance
We believe in providing transparent information about our fees, coverage options, and insurance support to ensure clarity and peace of mind for our clients. We strive to make our services accessible and affordable, working with you to explore payment options and maximize your insurance benefits.
counselling rates
Rates reflect industry standards proposed by the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors, and are subject to GST. The exact rate for each session varies within the ranges below and is based on counsellor’s level of experience and personal discretion. 50-Minute Individual Counselling Session: $120.00 - 150.00
75-Minute Individual Counselling Session: $180.00 - 225.00
90-Minute Individual Counselling Session: $216.00 - 270.00
50-Minute Couples/Family Counselling Session: $150.00 - 165.00
75-Minute Couples/Family Counselling Session: $225.00 - 247.50
90-Minute Couples/Family Counselling Session: $270.00 - 297.00
extended health coverage:
Counselling sessions are not eligible for coverage through BC Medical Services Plan; however, individuals with extended health coverage may receive compensation for a certain amount or number of sessions. Sessions through extended health are paid up front and reimbursed to the client by the health plan provider. Call your personal health provider to find out about coverage options.
Crime Victims Assistance Program (CVAP)
Several of our counsellors are registered with CVAP. Individuals involved with the Crime Victim Assistance Program who have received approval for counselling sessions can use their coverage to assist with the cost of counselling services. Please let us know in the new client inquiry form if you have this funding and we will connect you to a counsellor who is registered.
If you or an immediate family member have been the victim of violent crime you may be eligible for funding to assist with the cost of your sessions. If you aren’t sure whether you may qualify for support contact VictimLinkBC at 1-800-563-0808.

reduced rates
Reduced rates are available on a case-by-case basis to post-secondary students. This is based on counsellor's discretion and availability to offer reduced-rate services at that time. Please inquire in the online intake form if you are interested in more information regarding student rates.
payment options
Payments can be made in the form of cash, cheque, Interac e-transfer, or credit card, though E-transfers are preferred.
Cancellation Policy
A minimum of 24-Hours notice is required for cancelling or changing appointments. Cancellations with less than 24-hours notice or missed appointments are charged at the full-session rate.
